The information age is gradually leading to disaster for the human race:
- Economic and political power are increasingly concentrated in the hands of tech oligarchs;
- social media manipulates public opinion to subvert democratic processes, even causing real-world violence;
- the accumulated wealth of the digital commons is being unsustainably parasitized to train closed-source AI;
- the surveillance state infringes ever more on our right to privacy;
- the advertising ⟷ overconsumption ouroboros is destroying our environment.
